The East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust are collaborating to form the Hertfordshire and West Essex Vascular Network (HWEVN).
We are exited to announce that we are expanding our team and are looking to recruit two vascular specialist nurses/practitioners to help us develop and deliver the very best care to patients with vascular related conditions across the HWEVN.
You will be joining a multi-professional vascular team, dedicated to improving patient pathways and patient experience through innovation and evidence based practice. You will have previous experience working in the field of vascular surgery and experience working as a senior nurse within a healthcare setting. You will also have advanced clinical assessment skills and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently to patients, their family and all key stakeholders involved in the delivery of care to the vascular patient.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing inpatient and outpatient nurse-led vascular services, playing a key role in the co-ordination of patient focused care. We encourage participation in research and you will be expected to lead clinical audits within our specialist field.
Provision of care through screening programs, nurse-led clinics, accepting referrals, undertaking diagnostic procedures, undertaking therapeutic procedures and physical assessments.
Provision of current advice and information to patients, their relations and carers.
Maintaining and improving the quality of care delivered within vascular surgery services.
Developing the skills of general nurses and other health professionals to enable them to provide a high standard of care for patients with vascular disease
Where applicable and qualified as a Nurse Independent Prescriber, prescribe any drugs within clinical competencies
