GBR Recruitment are working in exclusive partnership with a leading food manufacturing (High Risk) business, recruiting for an experienced N ight Shift Hygiene Manager to lead a team of x15 Hygiene Operatives & x2 Team Leaders, on a Monday to Friday shift pattern.
You will be leading the night shift hygiene team in carrying out hygiene best practice & deep cleaning across x6 manufacturing lines.
You will lead audits & the effective management of hygiene related tasks, ensuring high end Food Safety & Integrity is maintained at all times (hygiene & GMP).
You will be an activist in promoting & maintaining the Food Integrity culture, as well as representing the Hygiene department during Customer visits & 3rd party audits.
Duties:
* Mentoring, coaching & developing the Hygiene team to be the very best
* Managing the hygiene cleaning schedule.working closely with production to minimise machinery downtime.
* Managing / delegating work to hygiene operatives.
* Manage investigations into hygiene related non-conformances, in line with the relevant company procedures.
* Effective management of cleaning all factory equipment, including but not limited to cooking tins, racks & frames.
* Updating the Holchem Platform & management of all CIC’s.
* Support Production Shift Managers with any non-conformance investigations where required.
* Closely monitor & manage all chemicals on site, including the ordering of replenishment stock.
* Closely monitor & manage all hygiene consumables on site including the ordering of replenishment stock
* Manage COSHH for the site, including maintenance of chemical list and SDS’s.
* Actively support to the operations team during customer visits & audits
* Maintenance of hygiene traceability documentation including the presentation of hygiene traceability to Customers & any 3rd party auditors where necessary.
* Investigate & resolve any hygiene related down time issues.
* Provide hands on support to the hygiene team ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner & to a high quality standard.
* Manage staff holidays & absence.
* Complete gap analysis for staff training.
* Plan & manage staff training / L&D for all
* Manage staff performance.
* Pest Control Contractor Management.
Attributes:
* Level 3 qualified in Food Safety & HACCP
* Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, cleaning chemicals, pest control & current food safety regulations.
* Experienced Hygiene Supervisor / Manager (Food).
* High Risk experience desired.
* Strong Management skills.
* Hands on, mentor, coach & leader of others.
* Flexible with working hours & patterns.
