We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team and work on various projects including the design and construction of new infrastructure, life extensions and upgrades, maintaining ongoing operations, and decommissioning.

This role involves all aspects of safety case support, shaping the nuclear safety case strategy, working closely with project partners to ensure a safety informed design, and engaging with stakeholders to facilitate 'Right First Time' delivery.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in safety, ideally within the defence and nuclear domain, or other highly regulated industries.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and have experience in applying fundamental engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:
">
">
* Shaping the nuclear safety case strategy
">
* Working closely with project partners to ensure a safety informed design
">
* Engaging with stakeholders to facilitate 'Right First Time' delivery
">
* Undertaking safety assessments and safety analysis (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, HAZAN, etc)
">
* Producing safety reports and other technical documents (e.g. PSR, PCSR, ALARP reports, etc)
">
* Support to Engineering Substantiation activities
">
* Managing/Leading Safety Case activities and teams
">
">
Requirements:
">
">
* Honours Degree (or equivalent) in relevant discipline
">
* Chartered (or working towards Chartership status)
">
* Technical practitioner in the Nuclear/Defence domains, able to demonstrate good engineering judgement with experience in applying fundamental engineering principles
">
* A proven track record in safety, ideally within the defence and nuclear domain, or other highly regulated industries
">

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and technical skills. We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits.
