The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day leadership and supervision of the operational night shift team within the unit. You will be responsible for co-ordinating activities and resources to meet weekly and daily production requirements. You will be available to offer practical instruction, guidance and support to staff.
You will ensure that all items are prepared, inspected, assembled and packaged in accordance with defined user specifications.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this post is the day to day supervision of the operational night team within the unit, allocating work, advising and checking work where applicable. To ensure that all items undergoing the decontamination process are subjected to applicable mechanical processes and that these are monitored and verified.

Job responsibilities
To ensure that all instrumentation sets are prepared, assembled and packaged in accordance with defined user specification. Ensure your team is aware of and complying with standards, protocols and guidance relating to Sterile Services.
Person Specification
interview
* Educated to GCSE level in 5 subjects including Maths and English or a decontamination qualification
Experience
* In depth knowledge of operating processes and procedures relating to decontamination and processing of surgical equipment
* Previous supervisory / team leader experience
* Experience of managing a shift or team in achieving targets and standards
