Your Role
This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational functionality of a department within the Defence Fulfilment Centre, ensuring all H&S standards, accuracy, and delivery KPI’s are met.
Your Responsibilities
* Manage Warehouse Administrator to ensure all operational system requirements are met.
* Plan the daily workload and ensure that time and attendance matters are managed, monitoring internal and external KPI’s, ensuring that they are met and improved upon.
* Build positive customer relationships and respond constructively to customer requests and internal departments.
* Encourage employee participation and effective team working, ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication.
* Ensure that MoD JSP requirements are adhered to at all times.
* Maintain controls for returned and damaged stock.
* Able to deploy stock across different sites if and when necessary. Compile Warehouse Management System activity data to create weekly reports. Manage resource levels, overtime, and agency labour across FC1 & FC2.
* Manage various system hygiene tasks across our multi-user sites.
* Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas. Operate to trained work instructions e.g. ABC Modules/WI.
* Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices, including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace.
Your Skills and Experiences
* Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
* Experience of working to agreed targets.
* Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA[Despatcher].
* Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
* Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading.
* Ability to work individually or as part of a team. Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner.
* Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate.
* Reliable and committed to attending work on time.
* Good communication skills and strong organisation skills.
* Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy.
* Analytical & problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends when required.
