We are moving forward in growing our service following some recent investment for our workforce and also to enhance our Local Offer. As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of resources for our new ISCAN website. In addition, the Trust are working with the team to develop some innovative approaches to redesign pathways with the goal of delivering improved care for our children and families across Tameside and Glossop.

This project seeks to support the professional development and growth of this workforce to meet the continually evolving needs of the populations these highly skilled practitioners serve. Main duties of the job
The service provides community based occupational therapy to children with additional and complex health needs, working closely with other professionals involved in the child's care. We are part of a multi-agency team, which includes physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and nurses providing specialist services to children and young people 0-19 years of age, which enables plenty of scope for integrated working. Within occupational therapy we have a number of care pathways there are opportunities to work with children with moderate to complex physical needs as well children referred with developmental and/or neurodevelopmental conditions, such as, DCD, ASD, and ADHD. We invite applicants who would like to work across all areas as well as those who have a particular field of interest. There will be an opportunity for all staff to be involved with the progression of universal and targeted levels of intervention, including the development of advice and training to educational settings.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist who has had significant experience of working with children and young people with additional needs. They will be committed to provide a holistic therapeutic and multi-agency approach to children and their families. Applicants will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be keen to work as a member of an integrated team.
