Summary / Role Purpose
As a hands-on application expert for Ansys solutions in Multiphase Fluid Dynamics, you will provide technical sales support, deliver professional services, ensure customer productivity through training and methodology support, and help translate customer requirements into new product features.
You will work in multidisciplinary teams to contribute to end-to-end simulation solutions, expand your application domain and industry knowledge, and support the growth of the Ansys business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. As a credible hands-on expert in the customer's application, you will work with customers to better understand their product development requirements and what they need to improve their performance metrics.
2. Support the development of differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and our products; implement our Ansys solutions into your customers' design workflows.
3. Collaborate with the Ansys Product Development to translate customer requirements into new product features; participate in the testing of new Ansys product releases, develop application best practices.
4. Support the Ansys Field and Digital Marketing team by developing promotional materials and supporting events, author conference presentations.
5. Contribute to and lead professional service deliveries and conduct training classes.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
* Required education and degree type: BS or MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
* Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+5, MS+3, or PhD+0.
* Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE software packages.
* Subject matter expert in one or more relevant disciplines within Ansys’ business.
* Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency.
* Ability to travel up to 25% of time.
* In depth knowledge of one or more Multiphase Fluid Modelling method (VOF, Eulerian, DPM, Wall Film, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
* Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+8, MS+6, or PhD+3.
* 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer facing roles using engineering software.
* Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
* Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
