We are seeking x2 dedicated and enthusiastic Band 5 ACT Pharmacy Technicians to join our dynamic and forward-thinking NHS client, a leading NHS Trust located in Worcester. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for patient care and a commitment to delivering high-quality pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
As an ACT Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines for our patients. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of clinical services, medicines management, and patient care. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience in a hospital environment, and contribute to the improvement of patient outcomes.
General Info:
Hours - MON-FRI. 9am - 5pm (30 mins lunch) November 2024 start 3-6 months role £17 - £21 per hour via Umbrella ACT Pharm Tech required (recent experience of accuracy checking is required) Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice and guidance on medicines management to clinical staff and patients. Participate in clinical ward rounds, supporting pharmacists in the review of medications and contributing to clinical decision-making. Dispense and check medications, ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and supply of pharmaceutical products. Carry out clinical interventions, including resolving medication-related issues, advising on therapy options, and promoting best practice in the use of medicines. Ensure the accurate and timely documentation of medication-related activities and interventions. Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols for medicine use. Actively engage in continuing professional development and contribute to the learning and development of the pharmacy team. About You:
You must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Hold a relevant post-registration qualification, including an accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification. Have previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or similar healthcare environment. Demonstrate a strong understanding of medicines management and an ability to provide high-quality patient-focused care. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy hospital environment. Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development.
