PA Group UK Ltd is a highly respectable and growing asbestos company, forming part of the RSK Group. We are now looking for a tenacious and focused full-time, permanent Laboratory Analyst and Quality Checker to join our busy laboratory based in Dartford, UK.
Main responsibilities/duties:
* Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
* Preparing samples for analysis.
* Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.
* Reporting analytical findings.
* Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples.
* Generating certificates of analysis and issuing to clients, and getting involved with other general laboratory and administrative duties.
* Quality checking asbestos survey reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
* The applicant must have attained the P401 qualification and, at the same time, must have significant experience working within this role in a laboratory/office environment and within the asbestos field. Awareness of the requirements of the second edition of HSG248 is desirable.
* Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Must have good organisational and IT skills.
* Must have a full UK driving licence and vehicle due to location, or alternative means of transport.
* Experience in quality checking of asbestos survey reports is desirable but full training can also be provided.
