Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to develop their knowledge and skills in Cancer Services. You will be supported by a team of experienced Pharmacists working to provide chemotherapy to patients across east Kent.
You will work with our Oncology and Haematology Pharmacists as well as the Aseptic Production Unit and Dispensary teams to ensure chemotherapy is supplied safely and appropriately.
Main Duties of the Job
1. To provide clinical pharmacy input into the oncology/haematology prescriptions generated from Chemotherapy Units across the Trust.
2. To support the Aseptic Unit in supplying systemic anticancer and clinical trials medical products.
3. To identify risk management issues and develop safe systems of practice within the chemotherapy units.

Person Specification
Experience
* Post registration hospital experience showing clinical experience within various environments.
* Demonstrate experience in a full range of clinical specialities.
Skills
* Can demonstrate ‘usually’ or ‘consistently’ levels of competence for the majority of General/ Foundation Level Framework.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of core pharmaceutical needs of patients in various clinical settings.
Qualifications
* 4 year Master’s degree in Pharmacy from a UK School of Pharmacy or equivalent as recognised by The General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain.
The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer facing roles.
Most positions require a Disclosure and Barring check and will be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Posts working regularly or unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults require an enhanced check.
Applicants for eligible roles requiring Tier 2 sponsorship must meet UK Visas and Immigration eligibility criteria.
