Job Title: CNC Turner Programmer
Job Type: Days based, Perm
Location: Bridgwater
Hours: 7am-4pm Mon-Thurs / 7am-1.30pm Friday with paid lunch breaks

Responsibilities:
⦁ Create programs for the CNC machines from models and drawings using CAD/CAM packages for offline programming and online programming on the machines.
⦁ Specify / select the correct tooling to manufacture the part using the most efficient processes.
⦁ Specify / select the correct work holding system to manufacture the parts.
⦁ Conduct inspection of parts being produced by the machine they are setting and operating.
⦁ Always use manual override to control the feed rate and monitor the distance to the job when setting a new job on a machine to prevent crashes of tooling into part/chuck/ work holding / fixture / billet table / etc.
⦁ Produce conforming parts to the drawings.
⦁ Complete deburring operations as required.
⦁ Change inserts, tools offsets when required.
⦁ Suggest improvements to the program / tooling that will improve the productivity / quality of the parts or process.
Skill requirements:
⦁ Minimum of a Lv3 apprenticeship or time served machinist (beneficial)
⦁ Be able to program 2 & 3 axis Fanuc lathes
⦁ Program offline using Hypermill for the Mill/Turn machines
