Are you someone with experience working with children with SEND?
A Primary School in the BS24 area of North Somerset is currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 1 Child who has SEMH and Speech and Language needs.
You will be joining a school that is dedicated to achieving consistently high standards of support, which has resulted in a driven approach to education and an improvement in primary results.
The Role
This is a full-time position starting in the New Academic Year.
As a successful candidate, you must bring a calm and patient learning environment, where you can build a strong relationship quickly with the individual pupil.
Working closely with the Class Teacher, you should adapt activities and assess development to communicate progression.
You will be expected to:
* Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.
* Have experience working with SEND children.
* Work closely with the SENDCo to understand the child’s needs.
* Create a stimulating and purposeful environment.
* Manage and support with the child’s needs.
* Assess and communicate the individual’s successes and developments.
