Base pay range
Location: Warton, Brough, or Prestwick (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £41,000-£51,000 (Depending on skills and experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Matlab/Simulink Specialist to play a pivotal role in developing advanced engineering toolsets for aerodynamics. This position will involve working with cutting-edge software to support the design and modelling of aerodynamics systems for a variety of aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development of new aerodynamics engineering toolsets, including planning and managing the progress of toolset releases.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, harmonise, and refine requirements for toolsets that meet the needs of various projects.
3. Contribute to the alignment of toolset development with broader Digital Engineering initiatives and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches.
4. Mentor and guide team members, ensuring the adoption of best practices in toolset development.
5. Promote and encourage the use of developed toolsets within the wider engineering community.
Skills and Experience:
1. Strong experience with software development, version control systems, and engineering tools.
2. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or similar toolsets.
3. Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating integration of requirements.
4. Familiarity with Linux systems and programming languages such as Python or Java is desirable.
5. A degree-level qualification in a STEM-related subject.
6. A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with others.
