Would you like to join a team responsible for the cleaning, portering and maintenance of the Grade 1 listed John Rylands Library? Are you an enthusiastic team player and good communicator? We deliver consistently high standards of building care and operational support including contractor management, security, maintenance, cleaning and support for events and activities, with the aim of creating and maintaining remarkable spaces for researchers, learners, visitors and staff. We are looking for someone who will be able to deal with the physical demands of this active role including using machinery, ladders and moving furniture and other large items around the building. You will given in house training in conservation cleaning methods and play an active part in protecting our building and collections. You will work a shift pattern within our opening hours (these are currently 7am to 6pm Monday to Saturday) alongside a small team of colleagues.
