Some projects run smoothly. Others need a sharp-thinking Project Engineer to keep everything on track. This role is for the second type.
They’re looking for someone who thrives on problem-solving, takes ownership of projects, and makes things happen. If you enjoy seeing projects through from concept to completion, while working with a variety of stakeholders, this is for you.
What’s in it for you?
- A role where you own projects - from handover to completion, making decisions and leading delivery.
- Real influence - You’ll be the go-to person liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, making sure everything stays on track.
- No micromanagement - You’ll be trusted to manage project risks, budgets, and schedules while delivering the best results.
- A collaborative environment - Work alongside experienced engineers who know their stuff and are happy to share their knowledge.
- Career growth - Get hands-on experience managing a variety of projects, which could open doors for future leadership roles.
The Role
- Own and manage project delivery, ensuring deadlines and key milestones are met.
- Work closely with clients, internal teams, and third-party bodies to drive projects forward.
- Identify potential risks - commercial, contractual, and technical - and take action before they become a problem.
- Define and track project schedules, ensuring everything is delivered on time and to the right standard.
- Lead kick-off meetings, drive design reviews, and present progress to senior management.
- Oversee procurement, ensuring materials and services are ordered on time and within budget.
- Monitor financial performance, ensuring invoices reflect project progress and forecasted costs.
What You’ll Need
- A background in Engineering or Project Management, ideally in mechanical, civil, or structural disciplines.
- Proven project experience - managing technical, commercial, and operational elements of engineering projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills - if there’s a challenge, you’ll find a solution.
- The ability to take control of projects and work independently while keeping key stakeholders in the loop.
- A solid understanding of QA, risk management, and financial forecasting in a project environment.
Why Join?
This isn’t a role where you’re just a cog in the machine. It’s about making real decisions, leading projects, and delivering results. If you want a role with real responsibility where you can shape the outcome of key projects, this is it.
