They are currently looking to recruit a Quality Manager to join their management team, you will support the business of Quality/Environmental/safety/Health in providing a controlled compliance service across the Group. Role / Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring the Quality Assurance procedures are complied with. Control and manage environmental impacts relating to the business and establish best practice. Manage and Co-ordinate BRCGS Auditing, following up BRCGS non-conformances and ensure site is always BRC compliant. Support with document control, corrective and preventative action and trend analysis. Work with site representatives to manage Quality Management and Operating Procedures including all Hygiene Operations, allergen management and pest control. Accountable for completing internal (first party) audits to support compliance assurance, audits and risk objectives. To resolve any areas of non-compliance (BRCGS). Support the site with their maintenance log and ensuring all jobs are completed in a timely manner Create a Safety Management System to ensure all incidents/accidents are reported and completed in a timely fashion. Manage and order Uniform, PPE stocks and distribute as required keeping records of issue. Ensure all Quality/Environmental/Health & Safety boards are kept up to date with the latest relevant information. Manage all accredited systems and ensure compliance meetings are held and actions completed in accordance with the minutes Ensure Environmental/Hygiene requirements are adhered to on site in conjunction with the management team. Maintain training records and organise training in accordance to in house and external standards Manage fire wardens/first aiders/forklift truck driver's certification and co-ordinate training when necessary Maintain equipment certification/calibration and identify any potential downfalls Chair health & safety meetings and organise compliance management meetings to a frequency that complies with internal and external systems To attend monthly management meetings and supply site QUESH data. Take due care and attention of equipment and resources with particular regard to health & safety, hygiene, good housekeeping and basic maintenance. Carry out NCR root cause analysis then send investigation findings to customers and internal communication Document all NCR activity internally and externally. Work with all departments to ensure Health and safety procedures are maintained and updated. Skills / Experience: IOSH trained with experience in Health and Safety risk assessments. Background in H&S and BRC Audits Have experience of BRCGS and managing the system. Well organised, ability to plan and prioritise tasks on own initiative. IT skills and excellent communications skills both written and verbal Sound judgement and decision making Able to report and investigate Quality issues Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously when required. Recognise and promote the importance of continuous improvement and display a positive attitude to change. Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate, establishing trust and strong business relationships. Sees projects through to completion: a finisher/ doer attitude. The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure Ability to work as part of a team and a keen desire to participate as a pro-active member of the team. Interact and communicate effectively across multi-functional departments and Business UnitsThe role encompasses the management of Quality/Environment/Safety/Health, managing and maintaining accredited systems BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 as well as own internal systems. Although Health & Safety Audits would be beneficial my client is happy to train on the H&S elements
