Join Our Team as a Behaviour Support Assistant at a Pupil Referral Unit in Bury!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? A school in Bury (BL9) is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to join the team starting ASAP until July 2025.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students to support their social, emotional, and behavioural development. Your role will involve:
1. Providing 1:1 and small group support for students who need help with managing their behaviour.
2. Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement behaviour strategies and individualised learning plans.
3. Promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe, encouraging environment for students.
4. Offering emotional support to students as they work through challenges in and out of the classroom.
What We're Looking For:
1. A compassionate individual with a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
2. Experience working with children in a support role (ideally in a school setting).
3. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with students.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
5. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students' needs.
