Housing Department Background:
Our Housing team is ranked and recommended by The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK for its services in social housing UK-wide, providing assistance to both landlords and tenants on all housing issues. We handle both publicly funded (legal aid) and privately funded legal services in various housing matters.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:
* Report directly to Department Director
* Professional proactive approach, strong client care skills, and a sensitive understanding of clients’ needs
* Assisting with casework including a range of public and private housing cases
* Attending clients, taking instructions, and preparing cases
* Dealing with correspondence
* Maintaining accurate time costing procedures
* Implementing recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews
* Ensuring compliance with file management.
Key Skills Required:
* Passion and experience in a broad range of publicly funded Housing Law
* Strong academic background with a Law degree
* Legal experience as a Housing Paralegal/Advisor
* Clear understanding and application of Housing Laws
* Business acumen and ability to market the Company
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent analytical and organizational skills
* Committed team player, self-motivated, and professional
* Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications
