Our Warehouse Construction Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Consultant to join their team in the London Office. You will be involved in the maintenance of the refrigeration systems across our current warehouses as well as various stages of new built projects, modernisations and extensions of our current portfolio, while ensuring compliance to corporate specification, H&S standards and latest Building Regulations.
What you'll do
1. Manage different stages of M&E or refrigeration across various projects incl. new build RDCs, extensions and major projects in existing warehouses.
2. Managing project progress, controlling budget, and checking quality standards are met, while ensuring compliance to corporate specification and highest H&S standards.
3. Carry out reoccurring QC visits across our warehouses.
4. Maintain corporate specification and communicate updates to all relevant stakeholders.
5. Lead in tender and appointment of various contracts.
6. Management of refrigeration service partners.
7. Review and process service contract and project milestone payments.
8. Manage and plan annual budgets.
9. Independently representing Lidl on sites and resolving project challenges.
10. Manage, review, and develop KPIs. Monitoring and reporting on performance of service contractors.
11. Effectively communicate and present to senior team, project members, and other relevant stakeholders.
12. Readiness to oversee emergencies at any time either remotely or on site while providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
What you'll need
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in either Engineering, M&E or Refrigeration.
2. Experience in related role in Construction Engineering.
3. Experience in managing service contracts on various sites is desirable but not essential.
4. A willing contributor ready to assist in rectification of failures.
5. A full UK driving licence and flexible to travel across the country when required.
6. Professional accreditation (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
7. Organised with a pragmatic and analytical approach with attention to detail.
8. A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.
9. An excellent communicator who can communicate confidently with people at all levels of the business.
10. A team player who can perform tasks independently using their own initiative.
