This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Band Physiotherapy Technical Instructor post with the Orthopedic Physiotherapy Team working at Glan Clwyd Hospital and Abergele Hospital (note that orthopedic services will be moving from Abergele to Llandudno Hospital in ).
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who has the skills and ability to engage well with their patients and work both independently and as part of a team.
Relevant evidence of experience in rehabilitation is desired. You would carry your own caseload of patients with supervision and support from qualified therapists.
You will also have experience of using highly skilled handling techniques to facilitate patient movement, and/or rehabilitation, implementing exercise and rehabilitation programmes. You will work with others in the team in the treatment of patients.
To apply you should have a NVQ level or equivalent plus relevant experience working in a therapy department in a physical health care setting.
Main duties of the job
1. To assist the qualified physiotherapist in the overall physiotherapy management of patients in collaboration with carers, support workers, health staff and agencies.
2. Under the direction and guidance of the qualified physiotherapist, to manage and be responsible for their own clinical caseload of clients, following therapeutic programmes in order to improve their physical abilities and to minimise disabilities.
3. To work independently using own initiative, within level of competence.
