We are looking for an experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough on a part-time basis, working 25 hours per week between Monday and Sunday. Enhance payment will be paid for working weekends. This is a fixed-term contract to cover MAT leave and is expected to run until October.
Mainly cleaning offices, stairs, and corridors. Occasionally, you would be required to work in other areas, including our operating theatres and the main inpatient wards.
As a vital member of the team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough, you will be required to ensure that all areas of the hospital are cleaned in accordance with the specification provided. You will maintain accurate records, report faulty equipment, and ensure patient and public safety whilst working, using appropriate signage.
Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high-quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings. Cleaning throughout our hospital, following infection control guidelines and working to good high standards at all times.
What you'll be doing
1. Ensuring that all areas of the centre are cleaned in accordance with the specification laid down for each room.
2. Mop, dust, and damp wipe all surfaces as appropriate and clean internal glass areas.
3. Clean toilet areas including toilet pans, wash basins, floors, and wiping walls as necessary.
4. Operate buffing/polishing/vacuum/carpet cleaning/laundry machinery in accordance with the training provided for each machine.
5. Maintain a daily record of areas cleaned.

* A knowledge of Health & Safety and a passion for providing a clean and comfortable environment.
* Previous experience in a similar role is key as is knowledge of health and safety.
* Enjoy working at a fast pace and within a team environment.
* We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard, learn and develop in the role, but most importantly someone who understands the value of teamwork and a good work ethic.
* Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
* The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues.
* Someone with the flexibility to fit into an internal rotating shift pattern.
