We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students develop strong literacy skills and a love for English literature and language. This role begins May 2025.
Duties as an English Teacher:
* Inspire and challenge students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
* Use a range of teaching strategies to engage students in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of engaging resources.
* Support extracurricular activities, such as writing clubs, debating societies, and theatre productions.
* Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare of all students.
Ideal English Teacher:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching English.
* Has a strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
* Is an effective communicator who can inspire and engage students.
* Demonstrates excellent classroom management and differentiation skills as an English Teacher
* Works collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider English department.
* Is committed to continuous professional development and innovative teaching practices.
