This role focuses on developing innovative products and services to transition from gas to renewable electric heating. Hive aims to become a market leader in low carbon heating by: Building partnerships with leading manufacturers to unlock the Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) market to ensure Hive compatibility for Hive success. Utilizing Hive's customer base to lead in electrification. Contributing to a greener future through Centrica’s strengths. Reporting to the Hive Heating Director, the Air Source Heat Pump - Senior Commercial Manager will oversee ASHP strategy and P&L, rapidly developing a growth strategy and competitive market approaches. Additionally, they will seek cross-selling opportunities within the Net Zero & New Business portfolio for a cohesive Hive market proposition. The Role: Quickly understand the business, customers, competitors, and market dynamics. Energise and lead the Air Source Heat Pump and low carbon heating team within Hive Heating. Set and execute a strategy to position Hive and British Gas as leaders in the low carbon heating market. Develop new and existing products based on customer insights and profitability drivers in collaboration with Hive Home teams. Oversee the Heat Pumps P&L, optimizing performance. Define and implement a target operating model to enhance customer fulfillment. Identify market growth opportunities, collaborating with the Hive heating director. Partner with British Gas Services to ensure an exceptional end-to-end customer experience. Build and maintain key commercial relationships. Lead a high-performing team and collaborate with HSE on Health and Safety initiatives for Heat Pumps. The Person Requirements: Experienced highly commercial leader with a proven track record in value creation and financial improvement. Creative strategic thinker with general management experience. Passionate about renewables and skilled in developing and implementing business strategies. Quick to understand competitive landscapes and profit drivers. Proven ability to manage partnerships, suppliers, and service delivery. Effective at setting clear visions and motivating teams for exceptional results. Capable of taking calculated risks for rapid market entry. Excellent communicator, skilled at influencing diverse teams and building relationships.
