Aon is in the business of better decisions
At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.
As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.
What the day will look like
The role is inherently dynamic, offering new challenges and opportunities daily, so no two days are the same, but the sorts of things you would be doing are:
1. Attend a daily stand-up meeting with the Data & Analytics team to discuss ongoing projects, priorities, and any roadblocks.
2. Meet with a business unit leader to discuss upcoming initiatives and capture requirements for new data analysis projects.
3. Dive into some data analysis using SQL and Power BI to investigate a recent trend in our data.
4. Design and build data & analytics solution, thinking about the data ingestion, refinement and visualisation needed.
5. Plan and lead a Data Council meeting to agree priorities and communicate progress to partners.
How this opportunity is different
This is an outstanding opportunity to build and influence the analytics landscape across Aon UK, using innovative technology. The mix of strategic planning, hands-on data analysis, stakeholder communication and cross-team collaboration encapsulates the dynamic and impactful nature of the Data & Analytics Business Partner role.
