We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor – Electrical to join our Asset Integrity team based in Cornwall. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the operation and maintenance of the electrical installations and the electrical equipment is kept at a high level so breakdown during operation is avoided. You will work closely with Maintenance Supervisors – Mechanical, as well as Technical Design engineers to ensure that maintenance activities are created as per OEM guidelines and technical knowledge, upgrades and modifications as well as, Major maintenance work scopes are upheld to the highest standards. What you’ll do: Safety & Compliance Champion a safety-first culture by upholding company policies, STAR 10 Life Saving Rules, and the Permit to Work System. Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and regular audits. Contribute to procedure development and ensure alignment with Geoquip Marine’s Integrated Management System (IMS). Lead by example in the use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols during all operations, including rig mobilisation and demobilisation. Electrical Supervision & Maintenance Consult and give technical assistance for upgrades, modifications, major maintenance periods and breakdowns. Generate Scopes of Works for upgrades or modifications. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance. Collaborating with other departments, such as Operations and Engineering, to optimise equipment performance and meet project requirements; Staying updated with industry trends and technological advancements to recommend equipment upgrades and replacements Making recommendations to the Managers on matters that will improve the productivity, costs, quality etc. of all work for which the Company has a responsibility Create Inspection Test Plans for Equipment Manage recommended spare parts inventory, and monitoring reliability of critical components. Operational Excellence & Leadership Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and ensure compliance with classification society regulations. Supervise third-party electrical contractors on-site, ensuring adherence to company standards. Participate in safety drills and emergency preparedness activities. Support the Lead Electrical Systems Engineer in project planning, upgrades, and mobilisations. Mentorship & Continuous Improvement Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Recommend improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across operations. Who We’re Looking For: Extensive experience as an Electrician on Drilling Rigs, Marine or Heavy Industry, as well as some Electrical Design experience Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with individuals from all over the world Experienced with Control Systems, including joystick operated valves and PLC automation. Accredited Approved Electrical Apprenticeship Preferred NVQ Level 3 (or Equivalent) Electrical Engineering Minimum Level 3 Electrotechnical Studies (or Equivalent) Experience with PLC Fault Finding and/or Programming Offshore Survival and Medical Certificates Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests Working knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Project Desirable: HNC/HND or equivalent Project Management experience (training will be provided) 18th Edition What’s in It for You?
