About the Role
The Enterprise Applications Engineer is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team and will be responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and maintaining integrated software solutions that allow attorneys and staff to access firm resources from the office and remote locations. This role involves leading project teams to research, evaluate, design, implement, and support complex enterprise applications, both on-premises and in the cloud, possibly including members within Enterprise Applications, other groups within the Technology department (Global and/or Practice Office), other administrative groups within the firm, and third-party vendors or consultants. This role will be located in our Manchester office. Please note that this role requires working two days per week in person at our Manchester office, or as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
* Liaising with stakeholders and leaders of other business units to ensure that their needs are understood and met.
* Designing software solutions and integrations for all facets of an attorney’s work, including document generation, research, client billing, business development, and analysis and fact-finding, acting as a “subject matter expert” regarding these solutions to provide expert analysis of needs required for successful implementations.
* Utilizing their technical creativity to identify and implement additional enhancements and new software solutions for our legal professionals and administrative departments.
* Installing, maintaining, and upgrading software for all users within the firm, and making recommendations to their manager regarding the setting of standards for firm software and desktop/notebook configurations.
* Monitoring and tuning supported platforms to ensure optimal performance and system availability.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
* Possess knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of software programs, including Microsoft Windows Enterprise, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
* Display knowledge of the Intapp product suite (Integration Builder/Time/Open/Walls), Microsoft SQL, iManage, and other third-party applications utilized in the legal industry.
* Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency with the administration and maintenance of relational databases used by supported applications.
And have:
* A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field, or appropriate work experience.
* Experience in the information technology profession.
