Data & Analytics Manager
Location: Southampton or Walsall (Hybrid, with UK travel as required)

We are hiring a Data & Analytics Manager to play a crucial role in developing and implementing data strategies, building data pipelines, and delivering insights that will drive business growth and operational efficiency. This is an opportunity to lead a growing data function in a well-established company that serves over 1,700 customers across the engineering, manufacturing, and distribution sectors.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Data Strategy & Governance – Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with GDPR & DPA 2018.
2. Data Warehousing & Pipelines – Design, build, and maintain data warehouses, lakes, and ETL processes, consolidating data from disparate systems.
3. Data Analysis & Business Intelligence – Conduct in-depth data analysis, build dashboards and reports (using Power BI, Tableau, Phocas), and provide insights that drive business performance.
4. Decision Support & Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with business leaders to translate data into actionable strategies, communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Leadership & Team Development – Mentor and guide junior analysts, build a high-performing data team, and stay ahead of industry trends in data and analytics.
What You Need to Succeed:
1. 5+ years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science.
2. Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Phocas, Tableau, Power BI).
3. Hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modelling.
4. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure preferred).
5. Experience with machine learning techniques is a plus.
6. Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
7. A collaborative mindset—you’ll be working across teams to drive a data-first culture.

* Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 + Bonus (5-15% based on performance, uncapped for high achievers)
