Sales Manager - Wycombe Heights Golf Centre - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire Job Type: Full Time Reports To: General Manager / Head of Sales Overview of Role & Responsibilities Achieve monthly sales targets for functions, memberships and golf business. Lead, coach and develop the sales executive whilst leading by example and from the front to achieve the required KPI’s and results. Maximising the revenue potential and yield through confident price presentation and strong business acumen. Induct, train, and provide continuous development and feedback for their sales executive. Effectively convert prospects to clients/members through converting in-bound prospects and those lead-generated from networking, outreach and marketing activities. Champion all sales activity, prospecting, follow up calls and appointments. Ensure that all sales procedures are understood and executed. Enhance the club’s social media and community presence. You will be a key member of the club’s leadership team and be part of creating a great working environment. Build a rapport with Heads of Department ensuring detailed and effective communication, especially regarding club function and golf day business. The venue Wycombe Heights is a busy Golf Centre based in Loudwater near High Wycombe. The Bar and Restaurant is open to both golfers and visitors throughout the day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also have a large function room catering for up to 100 guests where we will regularly host weddings, functions and meetings. Wycombe Heights Golf Centre is looking for a Sales Manager to lead the sales team, being hands-on with sales activity including calls and prospecting, nurturing existing business, and pro-actively business developing new opportunities through to conversion. Wycombe Heights is a golfing playground boasting an 18-hole main course, 18-hole short course, Trackman (digital technology) driving range and recently refurbished pro-shop, café and function/meeting space. The candidate & benefits of the role The candidate will have experience within a similar role, demonstrable team leadership, possess a sound knowledge and understanding of sales processes and be able to demonstrate a proven record of delivering results and proactively generating new business. An understanding of golf and/or the ability to sell functions and meeting space is key. A competitive basic salary of £31k commission and benefits will be offered to the successful candidate. OTE 37.5K uncapped. Key benefits include complimentary golf on both the main and short course, use of Trackman driving range, meals on duty and a rewarding commission scheme across multiple sales streams. Evening, weekend and some evening working is required however a rota will be in place and overseen by the Sales Manager to ensure that the cover is shared amongst the team and is suitable for business requirements. Responsible include: Achieving monthly and annual functions, group golf and membership sales targets. To support with delivery of events ensuring that high standards of customer service is delivered encouraging repeat bookings and Centre reputation. Maintain a well-managed prospecting system. Enhancing the club’s social media and online presence. Networking and connecting with local people and businesses to build relationships and secure meeting/function revenue. Administration tasks relating to sales and tasks in accordance with sales audits.
