An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic and caring individual to join our well-established team on Maple Ward.
We are looking to appoint Patient Service Assistants to join our established team on Maple Ward. Our ward consists of 22 surgical beds, 3 HOB beds and a surgical assessment unit offering highly skilled ambulatory care. Maple Ward supports a wide variety of surgical disciplines including general surgery, urology and gynaecology and works closely with the surgical teams and our surgical day unit.
We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills and works well within a team. They will support the nursing team to deliver a high standard of patient-centered care, so must be able to demonstrate care and compassion.
Main duties of the job
Our successful candidate will assist with the following:
1. Food service: They will organise and assist the patients to complete menus, assist with the preparation and giving out of meals, and feed patients as required. They will also assist with drinks and snacks in between meals.
2. Cleaning: They will assist with the cleaning schedule and ensure that patients' bed spaces are ready for changeover.

Education Qualification and Training
* Good basic education - reading and writing plus basic numeric skills.
