Fitness Instructor
Salary: £26,409 - £27,711 per annum (Pro Rata)

Essex County Council (ECC) is supporting Castle Point Borough Council in recruiting a Fitness Instructor on a part-time, permanent basis.
Shift Details: This role will consist of two shifts per week: Monday's 05:30am-11:15am & Friday's 08:45am-14:45pm at Waterside Leisure Centre.

The Opportunity: Support individuals in achieving their health and fitness goals by providing guidance, motivation, and structured exercise programs. Promote physical well-being and ensure the safe and effective use of fitness equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular personal training sessions, maintaining high service and professionalism.
* Promote Castle Point Borough Council positively in line with its policies.
* Demonstrate proper use of exercise equipment and provide advice and encouragement.
* Monitor equipment use and rectify customer issues.
* Work with clients to develop personal exercise and diet plans.
* Maintain and update client records.
* Perform reception duties within the Fitness suite, including payments and bookings.
* Conduct classes consistent with relevant qualifications.
* Work at any of the Council's Leisure facilities as required.
* Deliver personal training sessions to the standards set by the Health and Fitness Manager.
* Meet monthly targets set by the Health and Fitness Manager.
* Deliver personal training sessions outside of regular hours and maintain a log of sessions.
* Ensure safe practice while delivering personal training.
* Respect customer confidentiality and needs.
Experience Required:
* Experience in a gym environment or leisure industry.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
* Customer care experience.
