Laboratory Technician Competitive salary inclusive of shift allowance and dependant on candidate’s skills and experience Location: Thurrock, Essex Job Type: full-time, permanent, day and night shifts, on-call Reed Scientific are looking for a Laboratory Technician who will join a premier innovator in the field of nutrition and sustainability. Day-to-day of the role: Analyse raw materials, intermediate products, finished products, and process chemicals, ensuring all data is accurately recorded in both the Laboratory Information System and paper-based systems. Assess compliance with material specifications and advise on their suitability for use, organising additional investigative measures and interpreting data in cases of non-compliance. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure correct functioning and troubleshoot. Participate in analytical method development and deliver training when required. Provide support for product development activities as needed. Maintain appropriate stocks of chemicals and disposable goods. Ensure effective communication of all relevant information between shifts. Required Skills & Qualifications: Hands-on experience with GC, ICP, and basic wet chemistry techniques such as titration is required. Experience with HPLC, GC-MS, and working in an analytical laboratory within a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
