Position Summary Production Apprentice will be an integral part of our Production team, supporting one of the specialty functions, as follows: Test & Termination Fabrication (Welding) Components Production Umbilical Assembly Rigging & Lifting Following specific training plans for the applicable function, the Apprentice will split their time between studies and on-site, hands-on experience, at a pattern that suits the business and the individual (to be agreed during recruitment process). Upon successful completion, a Modern Apprenticeship certificate will be awarded. Duties And Responsibilities ESSENTIAL Adhere to the agreed studies (college) program, attending and completing the required courses. Work under the supervision of more senior employees, in tasks associated with their area of responsibility. These would include (but not be limited to): Test & Termination: Integrating ancillary hardware to umbilical products, and performing hydraulic pressure tests to ensure integrity of the system. Fabrication: Prepare umbilical steel tubes for welding (including tube forming), set-up and execute tube welds in various stages of the Production process. Components Production: Support the set-up and operation of various production equipment (extruders, cable stranders, aramid braiders etc) to support the production of umbilical components. Umbilicals Assembly: Support the set-up and operation of various production equipment (extruders, cabling machine, armouring machine etc) to support the production of umbilical and cables. Rigging & Lifting: Support various heavy lifting operations around the site, as required to complete umbilical system production. NON-ESSENTIAL Other duties as assigned. Other Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company. Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment. Reporting Relationship Production Apprentice will report to the appropriate Production Supervisor.
