Key Responsibilities
* Meeting the requirements of a 'Senior Engineer' grade and have a proven track record in both leading projects for your discipline and for an overall project team.
* Work in a joint leadership capacity within a mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) discipline team.
* Able to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision.
* Supervise the completion of detailed designs and supervise the work of others.
* Consider the feasibility of the project specific to the discipline.
* Take responsibility for and direct others in the production of detailed and performance specification.
* Reviewing design programmes and ensuring that sufficient resource is available to complete the works.
Your Team
* You will work closely with likeminded individuals on exciting and challenging projects.
* Building Services in Cambridge consists of 25 mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers.
* We put the highest ethical standards at the centre of all we do.
Key Technical Requirements
* Understanding of the UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline.
* Working understanding of latest electrical design software packages.
* Understanding of working with Revit MEP or other 3D design software.
Electrical Skills
* Low voltage distribution systems
* UPS systems
* Lighting calculations
Qualifications
* BEng/Bsc/MEng in applicable engineering discipline
* CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership.
