Role Purpose
Helping the growth and development of Rhenus Air and Ocean Commercial team by undertaking commercial activities such as providing quotations to Customers, Network Agents or the Rhenus Group in accordance with Company guidelines.
Working closely with the Air and Ocean product manager, rate maintenance in Rhequote and storage of achieved rates/contract rates.
Assisting all verticals and modes with quotation requests and ensuring all quotations are produced in Rhequote and followed up with customers.
Regular weekly reviews will take place with the Overseas Manager to discuss the KPI’s and the overall quotation performance.
Main Duties
1. Receiving and handling Air and Ocean quotation requests efficiently, ensuring all UK Customers quotes are completed in Rhequote.
2. Following up on quotations with all Customers.
3. Negotiating UK haulage where required.
4. Handling RFQ requests and assisting in tenders as required.
5. Sharing rate information with the UK as required.
6. Liaising with operations teams to hand over any successful quotations, ensuring that all information is provided to support the movement of the shipment (Carrier quotes, Agent Information, etc).
7. Achieving KPI for completing UK Customer quotations within one hour for door to port/airport and 24 hours for door to door.
8. Achieving KPI for following up on all quotations within one working day of issue.
9. Achieving KPI for completing 100% quotation in Rhequote.
10. Monthly review of quotations with Commercial Manager.
11. Any other tasks deemed commensurate with the role of Commercial Clerk as designated by the Commercial Manager.
