I am looking to speak with a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with either detailed design or preliminary design experience now looking to move into a detailed design environment that can offer extensive development across a wide range of complex soil structure interaction.
You will come in as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead on a range of design projects from fast-paced, sharp-end contractor designing and large-scale framework projects across development and infrastructure whilst helping develop junior engineers and growth.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer Technical Responsibilities include:
1. Design of complex foundations and soil structure interaction using geotechnical software such as Plaxis.
2. Slope assessments, soil interaction, pile design, settlement, slope stability, soil nailing, shallow and deep foundations, excavations, embankments, boxes, pads, retaining walls, and soil nailing.
The ideal Senior Geotechnical Engineer should be able to provide evidence of:
1. MEng/BEng in Civil Engineering, ideally an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Soil Mechanics.
2. Chartered with ICE or approaching.
3. Ability to prepare design calculations, drawings, technical documents, and project reports ensuring compliance with current standards.
4. Strong knowledge and experience within industry-standard geotechnical and numerical software packages including Plaxis 2D.
5. Experience in preparing, checking, and reviewing a wide range of technical reports including Desk Studies, Interpretative and Design reports.
