Global Strategic Consultant
Position Title: Global Strategic Consultant Leader
Location: UK, North America or the EU
Role Purpose: The role is responsible for developing and delivering the global strategic consulting proposition to ensure C&I services deliver innovative, high-quality consultancy and value add services to clients. The role will work across business development, pre-sales, delivery, public affairs, and public relations, and will be comfortable operating at board and c-suite level, where they bring a different dimension to clients and enhance the global value NCC Group provides. Acting as a thought leader, your diplomatic and influencing skills will build effective personal relationships with pivotal individuals and the wider public to support our market strategy, ultimately building a strategic book of business.
The role will also lead a small group of deeply experienced Strategic Consultants, from multiple disciplines, who are experts in providing appropriate high-level consultancy advice and guidance, in non-technical language, to ensure that essential cyber issues are understood by board and executive level audiences.
More specifically, a Global Strategic Consultant Leader is someone who:
* Identifies long term, high value opportunities, by adopting a consulting-led approach, supporting proposals and developing accounts, providing advisory services and executive level oversight for complex delivery across all sectors.
* Is a recognised thought leader, with deep ‘security connections’ offering both internal and external audiences a broad perspective within the cyber security environment and who regularly contributes to policy development through NCC Group’s Public Affairs.
* Possesses very strong communication (listening, speaking and writing) and presentation skills engaging internally across the Group, and externally across multiple sectors, at all levels.
* Develops and maintains a long-term relationship with selected clients and contacts at a senior level, outside of the account management function, without the pressure to meet financial targets, personalising their experience of NCC Group.
* Is comfortable providing board-level directors, including NEDs, and executive leadership teams with the knowledge and skills to manage cyber risk and resilience effectively as part of their legally required governance and oversight responsibilities.
* Possesses the commercial acumen, the knowledge of organisational culture, together with the personal credibility and gravitas to shape strategic decision-making both in the company and externally.
* Is innovative in thought, conducts independent research and analysis, devises strategies and supports company-wide initiatives where the outcome will benefit both our brand and performance.
* Is both a team player and able to operate independently, providing support and advice internally as well as acting as a sounding board across NCC Group globally.
Key Accountabilities:
Leadership: Global leadership and accountability of financial performance, cross and inter-region alignment, stakeholder management, input into the strategy for the Practice, capability function (C&I) and company-wide initiatives.
Revenue Generation: Optimising higher utilisation rates with business development so that the Strategic Advisors are spending a reasonable amount of time on billable work as well as with clients maximising the revenue potential.
Collaboration: Build a community of Strategic Consultants that are initially connected in region who feed into a global community and proactively seek to collaborate across the business, knowledge share and foster a growth mindset. Active collaboration across other practice areas.
Culture: Role modelling our values and ways of working to drive engagement of a high performing workforce and encourage a thriving work environment.
Delivery: Actively encouraging and enabling client centric delivery using consistent global artifacts such as methodologies, training, tools, and deliverable templates.
Key Clients and Opportunities: Proactive support and ownership of key client relationships and opportunities including presales opportunity development, scoping SOW review and approval, and delivery oversight.
Sales: Working collaboratively with the sales team to deliver client focused solutions. Using insights and market data, plus tools such as collateral, sample/sanitised deliverables, scoping questionnaires, and reference-able customers/case studies.
Resourcing: Using insights and market data, ensure skills are being utilised and developed to support client present and future demand. Horizon scanning to ensure business remains ahead of resourcing requirements. Direct input into project resourcing decisions (scheduling) as required to the global resourcing team.
Marketing & Research: Collaboratively initiate and respond to regional marketing requirements for website content, collateral, blog posts, and external presentations & event attendance. Performed in partnership with Product Management colleagues. Review of Practice-specific research proposals in collaboration with NCC global research organisation.

* Support clients with market entry into a new market or with a shift towards a new business model.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively across a global organisation spanning hundreds of employees and drive positive outcomes.
* Demonstrated success in the planning and development of relevant professional service offerings, full product lifecycle experience preferred.
* Technical understanding of IT security, cloud security, system hardening, incident response and protective monitoring.
* Knowledge of the global business environment, including cultural differences, regulatory frameworks, and economic trends.
* Experience in commercial and financial management.
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing and executing successful strategic consulting strategies to maximise revenue opportunities.
