The Value and Access Team.

Ensuring that their clients understand the true value that can be gained from health technologies for patients, payers, clinicians and healthcare systems.
The Principal Market Access Consultant, role and responsibilities.
As Principal Consultant you would sit within the Value & Access (V&A) team in a client-focused role, managing project and proposal work. The V&A team includes specialists in market access, health technology assessment and portfolio consultants. As Principal Consultant you would be responsible for providing leadership and management of projects and programmes of work and leading partnership building activities with clients. You will lead on strategy development, programme management and client relationship building. Working across multiple disease areas including cardiology, diabetes, auto-immune, virology and oncology, their aim -to understand the client perspective, offering a true partnership approach and generating solutions..
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead on the development of novel and complex proposals, engaging and partnering early with the client and articulating the company’s commercial, technical and partnership capabilities in the proposal and ensuring work is costed appropriately
* Develop opportunities with existing clients and accounts through partnership development and account planning
* Build and maintain client relationships, communicate complex concepts to clients and manage client expectations
* Development and delivery of pitches to client, providing high level of technical experience and consultancy
o Lead on smaller scale pitches and contribute to larger scale/ more strategic pitches
* Provide advice and support to clients, and challenge as necessary.
o Keep up to date with client market access challenges
o Seek technical input from colleagues to meet client needs and solve problems
* Comprehensive understanding of key consulting concepts pertaining to business health, including client management, time sold and delivered, recovery rates, invoicing scheduling and manage line reports and team accordingly.
* Work with senior colleagues to ensure all projects are appropriately resourced
* Be the main point of contact for clients on multiple concurrent projects or complex programmes of work, proactively assessing and managing risk to delivery or client relationships
* Manage delivery of projects according to timelines, expectation, and budget
* Working with senior contributors, ensuring strategic relevance and quality of client workstreams and deliverables
* Present key findings and recommendations, internally and with clients considering the long term strategic objectives of the client
* Identify and articulate where company offerings best suits the needs of the client and stakeholders
* Develop a broad understanding of services in each functional area so that meaningful strategic leadership can be provided in any of the company’s functional areas
* Support, develop, mentor and coach matrix teams in developing consulting and partnership skills
* Contribute to thought leadership and external presence activities
* Supports in recruitment activities for the Value and Access Team
* Consistently apply the company’s principles across projects, ensuring deliverables are consistently and clearly communicated
* Comply with internal best practice, processes, systems and SOPs, ensuring relevant information is kept up to date
* Other responsibilities as required by the business and deemed suitable for the Principal Consultant role
To be considered for the role of Principal Market Access Consultant you need the following:
Education:
* A science or healthcare degree.
* A post graduate qualification or equivalent experience would be desirable.
* Expertise in Market Access.
Experience
* Previous experience running large programmes of work in a Market Access or HEOR Consultancy.
* Demonstratable expertise in business development.
* Proven expertise in building client partnerships.
* Proven experience working across multiple areas of market access.
* Expertise developing large programmes of work aimed at supporting market launch for new products
Line management and leadership experience
* The Principal Consultant reports to the Head of Values and Access.
* The Principal Consultant has line management responsibility for senior consultants and consultants.
