Empowering to live rewarding and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.
We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team as a Housing Manager on a casual basis. Your role in a nutshell is to make our customers happy! It’s not just about providing our customers with a home; it’s about building relationships with them. This means that when it comes to those situations that are a bit difficult or tricky (which do happen from time to time), we make it easier to deal with.
Typical day as a Housing Manager:
* You will be responsible for carrying out generic Housing Management activities including arrears, void management, estate management, customer involvement, income management, lettings, and other related tasks.
* You will continuously improve services to meet challenging targets and obtain best value for customers, working in partnership with stakeholders, external partners, and colleagues.
* You will also signpost our customers to our varied access channels within the contact centre, improving their access to our range of services.
Fancy going home each day knowing that you have helped change our customers' lives for the better? You’ll do that here, working for one of the top ten Great Places to Work in the UK!
You have:
* A background in neighbourhood management processes, either within the housing sector or an alternative sector.
* An understanding of housing management, housing law, and customer service.
* Full competency in IT and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach, being a proactive self-starter with a “can do” positive attitude.
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
* Confidence working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities.
About our team:
To us, we’re not just a team; we’re a ‘work family’. Our Operations Managers are Taranjit, Tamara, Naomi, and Di, and you'll be working closely with our team of Senior Housing Managers, including Jane, Maureen, and Jason. They've all been at Home Group for quite some time now and will welcome you to the team!
Job details:
* You’ll work across our rented portfolio in the Central region. Our patch covers from Peterborough to Canvey Island to Hertfordshire, but you can chat through your patch at the interview.
* You will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices, and we’ll provide you with the technology and kit to make that easy.
* You will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay your business mileage to cover this use!
* You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done, and we pay for that.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.
A place where you belong:
Great things happen when we can be ourselves at work. We want all our colleagues to be who they truly are here. Our internal diversity networks, peers, and allies (Multicultural, LGBTQIA+, and Disability) support us all to be our best. Together we make Home Group a great place to work!
What’s in it for you:
* At Home Group, our pay rates are based on the Living Wage Foundation rate (definitely more than some organizations!). That means you’ll be paid a fair hourly rate for every hour that you work, and your rate even includes a payment towards your holiday pay!
* After you have been paid for your first shift, you’ll even get a chance to stretch your money further when you get access to our brilliant shopping discount scheme!
* You’ll have access to our excellent learning portal to develop your skills further! We’re sure you will find working for us brilliant, so if you want to stick around, you’ll be able to apply for all of our roles!
* Colleagues really matter to us; that’s why we’re the 10th Best place in the UK for Wellbeing. Our tools and support help you when you need them.
