Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per annum dependent on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Science Teacher to join our new Acorn Education School - Woodside Park School located in Penge, South East London.
You will secure high-quality teaching, effective resource utilization, and improved learning standards for all pupils in consultation with the Head of Education/Headteacher.
Responsibilities include:
* Teaching a range of subjects as necessary to deliver the school's curriculum effectively
* In consultation with the Head of Education/Headteacher, undertaking other identified areas of responsibility to ensure the effective delivery of the school's curriculum
Understanding
You will understand:
* The school's aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies, and action plans
* Statutory curriculum requirements and assessment, recording, and reporting of pupil attainment and progress
* Main strategies for improving and sustaining high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement for all pupils
* Management, including employment law, equal opportunities legislation, personnel, external relations, finance, and change
* The implications of the code of practice of special educational needs for teaching and learning
Essential Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
* A variety of teaching styles and approaches
* Attainment of GCSE (or equivalent), grade C in English and Maths
* Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
* Organisational skills
* Good communication skills
* A commitment to safeguarding the welfare of all pupils
* Ability and enthusiasm to work jointly with colleagues
* An outstanding classroom teacher, or the capacity to become one
* Strategic thinking, tailoring lessons to students' needs and abilities
About The School
Our new Acorn School - Woodside Park located in Penge, South East London, will have capacity for 34 pupils aged 11-16 years old and is due to open in April 2025.
The school will be a co-educational provision for pupils with complex needs, including SEMH.
