The Role
:
1. Working to production schedules
2. Interpreting technical plans and diagrams
3. Estimating the materials needed for a job and producing cutting lists
4. Selecting wood that’s suitable for a particular job
5. Measuring timber and marking it up ahead of cutting
6. Cutting timber to required dimensions
7. Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
8. Assembling timber structures in a workshop, such as window and door frames
9. Conducting quality checks and reporting to senior staff
About You:
10. Proven experience in purpose-made joinery
11. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and joinery cutting lists.
12. Attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship
13. Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills
14. Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Good communication skills
16. Working knowledge of different woodworking tools and machinery
17. Knowledge of health and safety requirements and regulations
