In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking to recruit a Project Management Officer for an immediate start. The role is based in Gloucester, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis once the probation period is passed – minimum of 3 days per week site based.
The role can be offered as a contractor Inside IR35 or a 6-12m Fixed Term employment contract (potential for longer).
You will be working within the within the Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the IPT leader, the Programme Chief Engineer (PCE). The PMO will support the IPT on the following project management axis: Scope, Cost, Planning and Communication management, including Stakeholder management
Key aspects of this job include the following:
* Establish standards and ensure compliance with programme and project management processes
* For each project management activity, support the definition, monitoring, controlling and reporting cycle
* For each project management activity, support the integration of the PMOs deployed across Sites and Divisions when applicable
* For each project management activity, deploy and facilitate the associated structure of work: meeting, reviews, workshops, etc. with associated agenda, minutes and actions
* Facilitate and actively contribute to the management of the OBS, WBS including RBS, CBS, associated priorities and structure (Product Life Cycle)
* Actively support the management of the IPT plan for integration / synchronisation and reporting on a weekly basis.
* Actively support the Cost management of the Engineering IPT on a monthly basis
* Actively facilitate the monthly Programme reporting of the IPT performance
* Establish and maintain IPT gap analysis with associated improvement actions
* Support operational teams on the deployment of management processes (programme and project management, work package management, visual management, continuous improvement initiatives)
Requirements
Ideally educated to Master degree level and hold PMI, IPMA or equivalent Project Management certifications. However, if you have a sufficient amount of experience in a relevant role then we would be interested in speaking with you.
With a very high attention to detail you will display strong analytical skills with the ability to summarise information and present them to stakeholders.
You will possess problem solving and organisational skills alongside the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and work independently.
You will need to demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent stakeholder management.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
Experience of PowerBI and Planisware is not compulsory but would be beneficial.
A background in aerospace or manufacturing is highly advantageous. However, if you have worked in a different sector but have the project skills, we would like to hear from you.
DBS might be needed to work on existing UK Military programs.
