The Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery Department is based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and is one of the largest and most highly respected units of its kind in the UK.
The department is excited to offer the opportunity for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated clerk/receptionist to join the Plastic Surgery Outpatient team.
The working times for this post will be 7.5 hours per day on Monday and Tuesday; the exact start and finish times can be discussed prior to starting in the role.

Main Duties of the Job
You will work with the current outpatient staff carrying out duties which will include scheduling appointments, working on reception, coordinating patients' paperwork for clinics, and dealing with patient telephone queries among other general office duties.
* Provide a full range of reception and clerical duties to patients, relatives, carers, Consultants, and their teams, to be carried out in a pleasant, effective, and efficient manner.
* Prepare clinic notes and retrieve missing notes that are needed for patients attending outpatient clinics or who appear at the reception desk to be seen as emergencies.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Understanding of Confidentiality Issues

* Good IT Skills including MS Office Software
* Good Communication skills - written, verbal, and telephone
Experience
* Previous experience working in the NHS
* Previous administration and clerical experience
Qualifications
* Good Standard of English, at GCSE or equivalent level (Minimum 4 GCSE Level A-C including English Language or equivalent)
* ECDL computer qualification or equivalent
