What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic part time practitioner with Early Years Teacher Status to lead our highly successful Nursery as a job share. You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and delivery of our Early Years curriculum and, along with your job share partner, will work closely with the Nursery Manager and the Early Years lead.
We believe that play and creativity are integral to child development and learning. We understand that every child is unique and tailor our environment and provision depending on these needs. Building positive, mutually respectful relationships with children, parents and colleagues using consistent and effective communication is crucial.

• Creates and maintains a purposeful and enabling learning environment in which our children can be curious and thrive
• Provides creative, engaging and exciting learning opportunities to motivate and engage our Nursery children in active learning and exploration
• Can inspire and support the Nursery team as part of our journey to attaining excellence
• Constantly strives to improve their practice by setting themselves and others high standards relating to planning, teaching and assessment
• Finds and develops the potential in all children.

Job Description
• Being an active and involved member of the whole school team, which may include attending staff meetings and being involved in the wider school community life
• Planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for Nursery in partnership with the team.
• Working closely with the Nursery Manager and Early Years Lead to ensure children have the best start to school life.
• Forming strong bonds with children, tailoring care and provision to their individual needs and interests
• Delivering high quality teaching and learning tailored to the children's individual needs, with maximum impact on children's outcomes.
• Ensuring children are provided with every opportunity to meet their full potential through stimulating and relevant experiences, promoting the Characteristics of Effective Learning
• Ensuring the learning environment enables the delivery of our curriculum, and that resources are of high quality, safe and fit for purpose
• Promoting children's sense of belonging supporting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities for all
• Managing effective record keeping, to include children's developmental records, observations, assessments, accident reports, first aid etc
