ADVERT We are recruiting a team of Youth Workers who will be employed on a part-time and sessional basis to support community-based youth work activities aimed at 10–25-year-olds across Renfrewshire. As part of Youth Services, you will work alongside the core team to deliver a range of youth work activities and support young people to participate, gain confidence and gain positive learning experiences that promote health and wellbeing. Working As Part Of a Team, You Will Also Gain Experience Of Working With Groups And Communities In Neighbourhoods Across Renfrewshire, For Example Youth projects and groups Holiday programmes Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Programme Community projects Working with volunteers Targeted projects (e.g. gender-based violence, asylum seekers, care experienced, young carers) Youth information It is essential that you have experience working in youth work settings, developing learning programmes for young people, communication skills; positive and flexible approach to work, and open to learning new skills. You must have experience supporting award and achievement programmes for and with young people. It is desirable but not essential you have National Standards Council for Community Learning and Development recognised qualification in Community Education/Community Development or Youth Work, IT skills, specialist skills in one or more areas of youth work e.g. music, sports, arts, etc and a UK driving licence. Training and induction in youth work skills will be offered. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
