Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution: Assist in developing and implementing detailed project plans, including those related to structural elements. Supervise and manage construction activities, encompassing both civil works and structural construction. Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards for both civil and structural components. Technical Expertise: Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications for both civil and structural elements. Oversee site surveys, leveling, and setting out works for both civil and structural construction. Provide technical guidance and support to site teams on both civil and structural aspects. Structures Focus: Have a strong understanding of structural design principles, including concrete, steel, and timber structures. Supervise the erection and installation of structural elements, including formwork, reinforcement, and concrete pours. Ensure compliance with relevant structural codes and standards throughout the project. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures for both civil and structural works. Conduct regular inspections and document findings for both civil and structural components. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations. Health and Safety: Promote a safe and healthy work environment on site, considering the potential hazards associated with structural construction. Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols. Maintain accurate records and reporting on safety performance. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, structural engineers, and other stakeholders. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all project participants. Problem-Solving and Innovation: Identify and resolve technical challenges on site, particularly those related to structural elements. Implement creative solutions to maintain project progress and quality. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a strong emphasis on structural engineering. Number years of experience as a Site Engineer on civil projects with significant structures experience. A thorough understanding of structural design principles and construction methods. Experience with formwork, reinforcement, concrete pours, and other structural construction techniques. Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software, including structural design software. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
