We are seeking a Full Time Quality Engineer to join us Kierbam at Hinkley Point C, where we are complete various Roads and Networks packages for the permanent works phase of the project. Due to the site being regulated by the office of nuclear regulation (ONR) there will be additional security checking in place to gain a full site access pass. Location : Hinkley Point C, Somerset, Bridgewater Hours : 45 Hours per week 07:30-17:30 Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer As a Quality Engin eer you'll be working within the Hinkley Nuclear team, supporting and working alongside the project and delivery teams to deliver the project Quality Assurance for the Roads and networks section. Onsite quality control and monitoring for packages of works (Earthworks, Reinforced Concrete, QRA blinding, QRA backfill, backfill, networks, drainage, chambers, surfacing) to meet Safety standards and quality specifications. QRA – Quality related activity or an activity which directly relates to future nuclear safety Your day to day will include: Interface with the delivery team engineers internal quality team and Client Surveillance team and quality representatives. Implementing and ensuring adherence to project procedures, scope, specification, Project Execution Plan (PEP), Project Quality Plan and British/ International Standards. Understand the requirements of product traceability, including product movements, physical product checks, delivery ticket and Certificate of Conformity checks, and approving products for use onsite, material acceptance forms (MAF). Review of quality documentation, including Lifetime Quality Records, End of Construction Records (ECSR), Product Approval Records and project procedures, RAMS. Carry out site inspections for QRA activity and Non QRA activity to ensure compliance with Nuclear Safety Standards, drawings, and specifications. What are we looking for? This role of Qualty Engineer is great for you if: Demonstrate previous experience for working as Quality Engineer or in the role of Project Engineer in the Civil / Major Infrastructure projects and understand the Quality requirements. Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of quality control activities in construction Ability to interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications.
