Thomas Swan & Co, an independent chemical manufacturing company, are seeking an enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join their growing team. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Handle security processes, including password resets, multi-factor authentication, and antivirus configuration. Manage technical documentation in SharePoint, such as network diagrams, technical specifications, and policies. Work with the bespoke ticketing system, managing SLAs and handling escalations. Use troubleshooting tools like PQ remote access, Impero software, SolarWinds, and Wireshark. Perform hardware upgrades on PCs, laptops, RAM, firewalls, CCTV, printers, and routers. Upgrade and monitor software, including Office Suite and system monitoring tools. Manage software updates, including driver updates, security patches, and service packs. Support network devices, both wired and wireless, including server ports, Wi-Fi, and patching. Work with cloud technologies like Microsoft 365, Wildix, Unify, and cloud-based phone systems. Use basic PowerShell scripting for batch updates and automation tasks. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team. Salary, Hours & Benefits: £15,000-£17,000 per annum.
