We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join and coordinate our growing logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the team, primarily focusing on managing our team of Distribution Operatives. They will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Experience of working in a start-up or scale-up would be beneficial. This role will be full time, reporting to our Head of Research, and based in our Cambridge offices near the train station. We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Responsibilities Managing our team of Distribution Operatives, coordinating their working rota, and dealing with line management queries and appraisals. Overseeing the dispatch of sample collection kits, ensuring efficient completion within our operating procedures. Responsible for receipt of samples and initial handling of samples per protocol specifications. Preparation of sample shipments per shipment schedule, including relevant documentation. Maintaining sample and shipment documentation, compliant with external regulation and internal operating procedures. Effective logistics planning and inventory, ensuring stock levels and capacity are matched to business demands. Maintaining and growing supplier relationships, ensuring we achieve high quality, reliable supply chains at a competitive price. Work cross functionally with teams including Quality, Research, and Product & Tech. Support the Head of Research in long term and strategic planning to continuously improve the logistics function. Requirements A track record in Logistics Management (1-2 years), ideally gained in a clinical or similarly regulated environment. Experience in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks. Familiarity with the development of standard operating procedures and work instructions would be beneficial. Familiar with vendor management and working with third party service providers. A strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
