Control Systems Engineer

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, installing, and commissioning the company's control products. Provide controls and instrumentation support to HPI's field service and commissioning teams globally, including planned and unplanned maintenance support and troubleshooting. Contribute to daily operations and assigned projects, with regular reporting to HPI management and customers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with HPI's QA, Environmental, Health & Safety targets.
Take ownership, independently or as part of the Controls team, for the timely execution of assigned work scopes, which typically include specification, design, programming and configuration, manufacturing support, FAT testing, warranty support, and troubleshooting.
Identify and communicate potential opportunities for additional work.
Ensure all deliverables are fit for purpose.
Effectively utilize our methodology and adhere to work standards.
Reduce risk exposure wherever possible.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, project managers, engineers, and field service teams to ensure efficient and effective completion of work scopes.
Maintain regular communication with client personnel to ensure their satisfaction throughout the contract term.
Show innovation, flexibility, and a proactive approach to work.
Embrace a "can-do" attitude and a strong service-oriented mindset.
Provide regular updates to the project manager, team members, and HPI management as needed.
Experience:
Educated to at least HNC level in engineering or equivalent through industry experience in controls, instrumentation and software etc.
Working experience with the design and configuration of industrial control or automation systems including HMI systems, networks etc.
Experience with Rockwell Automation products such as ControlLogix, FactoryTalk etc.
Experience of control systems for industrial rotating equipment such as gas or steam turbines
Experience of Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation systems used in the power, gas and offshore industry
Experience installing & commissioning industrial control and automation systems
Qualified to work on offshore Oil & Gas installations
Able to travel to Customers' Sites worldwide at short notice and without
restriction (subject to satisfactory Travel Risk Assessments & Mitigations).
Experienced leading small teams of engineers & technician (essential for a Lead Level position)
