About the job role:
Within this role, the successful Maintenance Technician will be responsible for undertaking day-to-day repair and maintenance duties. Working as part of the maintenance team, your role will be central to ensuring the efficiency and dependability of the site's facilities & operations.
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per year, plus overtime. Highly competitive salary on offer – negotiable depending upon experience.
Hours: The successful Maintenance Technician will be working 7am to 5pm Monday – Friday, and 7am to 11am on Saturdays. Please be advised, some flexibility will be required - You may be called upon outside of operational hours for emergencies and/or repairs.
Key duties required:
1. Inspect, repair and troubleshoot industrial plant machinery and equipment.
2. Carry out inspections, planned & preventative maintenance of machinery & equipment.
3. Ensure repairs are completed quickly and efficiently.
4. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspection checks of the equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
5. Carry out physically demanding duties, such as plant equipment, vehicles, and machinery repairs.
6. Co-ordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operation.
7. Carry out planned and routine maintenance tasks.
8. Work as part of a team and ‘muck in’.
Key Skills required:
1. Previous mechanical, electrical experience - Essential.
2. Experience repairing heavy plant, such as FLT Trucks – Essential.
3. Experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery – Essential.
4. Excellent welding skills – Essential.
5. Background in vehicle maintenance – not essential.
6. Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
7. Able to work on own initiative.
8. Highly organised and methodical.
9. Great attention to detail.
10. Excellent communicator, fault finder & problem solver.
11. Flexibility to work additional hours as and when required.
12. Flexible, can-do attitude, and happy to undertake other duties as and when required.
13. Team Player, who works well with colleagues and management team alike.
14. Dedicated and committed.
What we can offer you:
